TREFFLER Milling Machinery auf dem Bio-Tag in Wien

TREFFLER Millomat takes part in "Wiener Gusto"

With 2000 hectares of agricultural land, the City of Vienna is one of the largest organic farms in the whole of Austria. Now the city is launching a new brand for its city-owned organic products. Under the name "Wiener Gusto", organic products such as wine, fruit, vegetables, cereals, flour and meat products from game from the city's own forest will be offered in the Wiener Gusto shop in Laxenburg and via the internet.

"With Wiener Gusto, the City of Vienna is the only major city in Europe with organic products from its own production," Vienna's Mayor Dr. Michael Ludwig says proudly, "the City of Vienna's forestry and agricultural enterprise has set up a unique project here that adds another important aspect to the quality of life in our city." "The products are 100% organic, from regional production, have short transport routes and thus make an important contribution to climate protection and the security of supply in our city," emphasises Climate City Councillor Jürgen Czernohorszky.

To present the project to the public, the City of Vienna organised an organic day on 25 June 2022 at the city-owned farm Gut Laxenburg. In order to show visitors live how organic wholemeal flours are produced, for example, those responsible for the project at the City of Vienna invited the company TREFFLER Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG from Pöttmes - Echsheim to produce fresh organic wholemeal flours on site with their wholemeal mill series "Mühlomat" and distribute them to visitors. The TREFFLER flakomat also provided very fine organic oat flakes, which met with great approval from the visitors.

All participants were enthusiastic about the demonstration of the TREFFLER milling technology. All experts agreed that a TREFFLER Millomat 500 will certainly be used in the new organic production. The name TREFFLER has been known in the organic farms of the City of Vienna for quite some time, as the agricultural machinery for the organic farms also comes exclusively from Echsheim.
